On the boat again!!!!!

We are out for a few days for the first time this year.   It's the first chance since our leaking stern gear and blocked loo were fixed late last year.  We wont go far, perhaps to Warwick and back, but it will certainly be good to get out of the house.

We arrived at lunch time and immediately found that the domestic electricity would not turn on.  6 damp months with no usage is not good for electrics.  With the help of a voltmeter I was able to confirm that a mechanical relay was stuck - 12V has reaching the relay and the control panel switch was sending it a pulse but nothing happened.

Fortunately we had a spare as we have ha similar problems before.  But I really wanted someone who knew what they were doing to refit it as it is too easy to drop the small nuts and screws into the bowels of the boat. For a while it looked like we were going to have to return home.  But our marina was able  to free up their engineer for a short time and all worked out well.  We are now fully operational.

But the weather is cold, wet, and windy so we will stay at our moorings until the morning.
